About the Conference

With its strong growth trends and growing economic clout, Latin America has risen in recent years to become a vital part of the international economy, with the resources industry a key part of this emergence.

The Australian Government is working to enhance its relations with the nations and the economies of Latin America and a particularly strong partnership is emerging in the mining sector. Latin America is home to large orebodies, strong mining cultures and governments which offer stable and attractive investment environments, yet it still holds vast, untapped potential.

Given the new momentum in Australian Latin American relations, and the rapid growth of engagement in the mining sector, Paydirt Media has launched Latin America Downunder, a two-day event to be held at the Sheraton on the Park, Sydney on 29-30 May 2013.

Following the format of its highly successful African counterpart, Latin America Downunder will provide a rare opportunity for governments, companies, suppliers, media and investors to network and share their stories and experiences.

The 2012 Latin America Down Under attracted more than 350 delegates from business, government, academia and media were present at the Sheraton on the Park, a turnout that was both proof of the current strength of the relationship and the latent opportunities still on offer.

Latin America Down Under 2013  will be held on the 29-30 of May. The conference will be held at Sheraton on the Park Sydney.
